POSITION: Banquets Bar Back
REPORTS TO: Director of Banquet Operations, Assistant Director of Banquet Operations, Beverage Supervisor, Banquet Managers, Lead Bartender
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Support for all Banquet Beverage Staff before, during and after service. Responsible for set up, replenishment and breakdown of all Banquet Bars scheduled. Also responsible for working in the store room to ensure it is fully stocked, neat and orderly.

 

JOB DUTIES:
• Read and understand all particulars of Private Event Orders (PEOs)
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests, members, and co-workers
• Adhere to League uniform and grooming standards
• Set up, maintain, and break down multiple banquet bars during a shift
• Ensure that bar is completely set to the correct specifications prior to function
• Responsible for breaking down bars at the end of each shift, including, but not limited to:
• Emptying trash, Cleaning work surfaces / areas, rolling portable bars to another location, Removing glassware, floor mat, trash can, and linens
• Check with and assist bartenders in maintaining adequate supplies, including, but not limited to:
• Cocktail napkins, Bar stirrers, Glassware, Beverage product, Ice
• Supply all requested service wine for lunch or dinner.
• Inventory and return all requested service wine post event. Report start, consumption, and end counts
• Ensure that all paperwork is accurate and complete at the end of each shift
• Ensure work areas in the store room and throughout the League House are clean, organized, and well stocked
• Complete any and all side work as assigned
• Assist in storeroom as needed: receiving deliveries, rotating product, keeping the area clean and stocked
• Expediently communicate any challenges, guest complaints or requests to supervisor
• Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties
• All other duties as assigned


SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong communication (both written and verbal), and mathematical skills
• Must be knowledgeable in preparation and service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Bending and lifting required
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

 

MANDATORY WORK DAYS INCLUDE (But are not limited to):
• New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Mother’s Day, Fall Ball (every First Saturday in November), Thanksgiving Day, Family Christmas (every First Sunday in December)
