Marketing Coordinator @ UnionLeague


Position Title: Marketing Coordinator
Department: Marketing

Reports To: Communications and Marketing Director

The Marketing Coordinator will work directly and collaboratively with the Communications and Marketing Director, Art Director and Digital Media/Graphic Designer to create, develop and support all marketing materials for The Union League of Philadelphia including all League locations in addition to being the lead Social Media producer.

Education and Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications or Design
- Ability to understand and manage a website through CMS (does not need to know code)
- Basic understanding of photography/ability to take pictures for various types of usage (i.e. print, digital etc.)
- Experience with Creative Suite
- Understanding of social media networks, delivery platforms and standards

- Work with the Communications and Marketing Director to manage all Social Media
- Manages and coordinates social media calendar using Hootsuite
- Coordinates all posts – works with all department heads to ensure accuracy of posts
- Responsible for content of all posts
- Develops and creates unique identities for types of posts (i.e. hashtags to be used on similar types of posts to develop brand awareness and followings)
- Responsible for increasing traffic, followers and engagement
- Monitors how and when any and all parts or names associated with the Union League are used in social media posts including accounts developed by Affinity Clubs, Club Tables or League affiliated groups as well as employees
- Actively monitors how and when the League’s name is posted online through google, yelp etc. and actively engages to correct and responds as needed
- Replies within 24 hours to any and all direct messages or comments to posts
- Work with the Communications and Marketing Director to manage the League’s website
- Responsible for adding events to the website as requested by the Marketing Director
- Responsible for taking all events printed in Banner and adding them to the website for reservations
- Will assist members with login assistance
- Will help take pictures of League members to add to member profiles on the directory and provide images to the Membership Department for each database
- Will assist with monitoring regular usage and content of the site to ensure accuracy
- Work with the Communications and Marketing Director to manage the League’s email schedule
- Coordinates the email marketing schedule for all emails sent by the League (all properties)
- Helps each department coordinate the appropriate distribution lists
- Works with the Digital Media Graphic Designer to create impactful email campaigns
- Works with the Digital Media Graphic Designer to create templates for ongoing campaigns and works with the various departments to add content
- Assists members with re-subscribing
- Reviews email analytics and cross references results with reservations etc. having a pulse on needed numbers for successful events

- Responsible for taking pictures at events for use in Banner, on the website, photo galleries, social media etc. Schedule of events to photograph will be predetermined working closely with the Art Director.
- Assist the Art Director with photo shoots as needed. Coordinate the schedule and help with setup shots, help design backgrounds/décor etc.
- Work with the Art Director to create images for collateral materials (help pull stock images to create a lightbox for future usage)
- Coordinates an online photo gallery and sends emails to members for image downloads

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assists with creating content for Banner
- Assists the retail team with product placement and displays
- Assists with design/refreshing of House décor as needed
- Other projects as defined by the Communications and Marketing Director and Art Director.

Hours: Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, some nights, some weekends and some holidays as determined by Communications and Marketing Director/Art Director.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
