Dishwasher - Torresdale @ UnionLeague


Position: Dishwasher/Utilities

Reports to: Executive Chef


  1. Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans using dishwasher or by hand.
  2. Maintain dish room storage areas. Restack glassware, plates, or silverware as needed.
  3. Perform routine cleaning of dish machine at scheduled times and/or as needed.
  4. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
  5. Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in proper storage areas.
  6. Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas. Clean garbage cans when needed.
  7. Sweep and scrub floors.
  8. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
  9. Assist FSA’s with transport of materials and/or food as needed.
  10. Complete set-ups for Banquet events.
  11. Maintain trash room area; keep it in a clean and orderly condition.
  12. Perform routine cleaning including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, trash removal, moving dirty pots and pans and stocking clean equipment.
  13. Must be willing to perform any and all job duties that fall under the Stewarding Department, especially when asked by Executive Chef or a Torresdale Manager(s).

Physically Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 25+ lbs.
  • Must stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to constantly go up and down stairs throughout the day
  • Bending and lifting required
